EDIT
1.The author used the questioning approach.
2.The point of the article is to show the reader about the boat rides replicating the Boston tea party.
3. The author used expository descriptive and narrative textures.
4. I think because it is a major part of history involving mostly Boston
5.Maybe if he had pictures of people on the boat and sights alongside with it, the article would be more interesting.
The author used the question approach. It was a strong choice because what if someone saw the title and thought it was interesting but really wasn't fond of the topic? It's good to let them know what it's about by asking questions. The authors point was to inform people of Bostons relaxing yet educational cruise ship.Expository writing is being used. It was a good idea to focus on tourism in Boston seeing that Boston is a historical place. We really didn't need a side bar because side bar information was included in the article.
The approach that used was Discription.Because he told about the the story when it happen and other information.
The authors point of the article was to tell about the audio tour that is going on. And to get people excited about going. Also narrated is the tale of Revere's ride, west from Boston, and his famous warning to colonial leaders: "The British are coming."
I think the author did a good job on focusing on the things that the audience would really want to know.
He could of enhanced his article by putting more information about the people involved in it,or telling how its really fun.
1.the author used the question approach.i think it was a strong choice because Boston does have A LOT of history and its true if you do want to learn about history then Boston is the perfect place to go a Boston harbor to be specific.
2.i think the authors point in this article is to inform that the Boston harbor has a lot of history.
3.i think the author is using narrative, discriptive, and expository writing. an example is this line "From the top deck of Seaport Belle, a replica steamship, passengers can peer down the channel to the right and imagine tea crashing into the water during the Boston Tea Party." and quote.
4.i think it was a good choice to pick out history because with this part it connects to every thing else in history with the first 13 states.
5.i think there could have been pictures of Paul Revere.
1)The approach that the author used for the lead was by asking the readers Want to learn about American History.
2)The author Point of the article was to take a boat ride in Boston Harbor and listen and look.
3)A Writing Texture that the author used was Expository because in the article he says "From the top deck of Seaport Belle, a replica steamship, passengers can peer down the channel to the right and imagine tea crashing into the water during the Boston Tea Party."
4)I think that the author's choice to focus on one specific part of Boston's Tourism is a good choice because it make the readers know more about Boston's Tourism.
5)I think that His article was ok. One thing that I think he could enhanced on his article was his illustration.
IN the lead the author used a question then a direct quto he asked a question then he just went in to saying a dirct quoto
2 the author was trying to tell them facts and that was his point
3 his writing style was that he used alot of information and still didn't boring
4 the author wanted more people to come see this historical places
5 he could have interviewed so people who were involed on the war and could have took picture of all those places that they talked about
1.the author used the questioning approach
2.he showed the readers about the boat ride of the boston tea party
3.The author used expository descriptive and narrative textures in his article.
4.cause it is very important to bostons history.
5.he could of made it better by puting or writing more interesting stuff.
IN the lead the author used a question then a direct quto he asked a question then he just went in to saying a dirct quoto
2 the author was trying to tell them facts and that was his point
3 his writing style was that he used alot of information and still didn't boring
4 the author wanted more people to come see this historical places
5 he could have interviewed so people who were involed on the war and could have took picture of all those places that they talked about
They Started the article off with a question. I think it was a very good choice because it made them think about what the topic is really going to be about. The author point of the article is to learn more about history by going through the Boston Harbor. The writing texture that the article
I think that the author was good for just talking about
The approch the author used in the lead is to ask a question in the beginning of the article. I think that the approch could of been better if he made it a little more interesting.
I think that the authors point in this article is to just inform the reader about what is going on or what has been going on.
I think that it was not really the best choice because the tourist does not really have anything to do with anything. but if you think of it as informing the reader then it could be a good choice.
He could of enhanced his article by giving more interesting facts and starting off in a more better way.Or could of had an interesting anecdote or senario.
The lead approach that the author used in this article was a question. I believe that the author made a good choice but not the best choice for the article. I believe that it would of been better if he used a descriptive approach.
2) The point of this article was to probably inform the reader about some of the things that you can learn if you took a boat ride in Boston harbor.
3) One of the textures he used in this article was a direct quote. He used this when he added "The British are coming." to his article . He also used a direct quote from one of the passengers on the boat saying "He got caught,". He also used a Descriptive texture of writing to describe the Boston tea party.
4)I think that it was a good choice because it gave more information on his topic that he was trying to explain. So he got to elaborate more on the topic by staying with that only one.
5)I believe that he could o enhanced the article if he described more things in the article. It would of placed a more vivid picture in the readers head making them want to go more.

1.The approach the author used in his lead was the question approach. The first sentence used was a question. I liked this lead because the question used was not much of an obvious answer. It was asking if the reader wants to learn something. I think that will catch someones attention because learning new things is interesting.
2. The point of this article was basically to give information about the American History. Another point of this article was telling about the colonist in Boston.
3. The texture is all of them because it includes everything.
4. I think it was a good idea to focus on one specific part of Boston's tourism in the article because that part of Boston must have all the historical things and it must be the best part of Boston.
5. You could have included a "did you know" section in the sidebars. Also he should of included people in Boston.
1. The approach the author used was questioning. I think the author's choice for an article lead was a real good choice for their style of writing. I liked the way they asked the question then told the reader where they should go/the place they were writing about. I also noticed that the author used the direct quote, "Birth of a Nation"
2.
She used expository lead. I think it was a strong choice because it really threw the readers attention and it made them want to read more.
2. The author's point was to inform the readers about the cruise that lets you learn about history.
3. Throughout the article she used direct quotes. Like in one of the paragraphs she uses, "
"I notice a lot less debris, certainly, along the sides at low tide," Babbitt said, so here she's using a direct quote.
4. I think it was a good idea because if she had been focusing on all of them her article would've been all over the place. So like when she focuses on only one part, it would make it easier for people to pick where they want to go. And because it's only one part they get more information.
5. I think he could've included more pictures. Like maybe a wide shot of the boat or like a shot of the cruise. And on his sidebars he could've included where people can go to get more info. and the hours of the cruise and things like that.

1. The approach that i think the author used for his lead was questions. The author started of the story/paragraph with a question. I do think this was a strong choice because it did catch my attention. It also got me more into the article meaning i wanted to keep reading.
2. The authors point in this article was to tell us first of off the boat. The author also told us/me how the audio tour was going on and history.
3. There were many writing textures that the author used threw out the article. The types i thought he used was narrative, discriptive and exposatory. I say he uses narrative because him as the author is telling the story like a conversation. Discriptive because he discribes many things. Final exposatory because he also explains many things.
4. I think that the author had a good choice. I say this because he choose a topic and stuck to it.
5. He could of added more details and gave more information. I think he should of done this so the article can be even more interesting.
1. He used questioning approach because it started with want to learn about American history?
2. The point of the story is to talk about history of the harbor.
3. I thought he did a lot of narrative textures.
4. I thought it was good because its better to stay on one topic then have a whole bunch that people can hardly understand.
5. What I think he could've had enhanced about this article by having a section just for one thing. They have every thing together they should of separated it some things. Also they could of put some pictures in that section so you can have a description on hat it means.
I agree with Iniko on number 4 he should of stayed with that one topic and have more information.
1. Well I think it was o.k he could have done much better in his/ her lead. But on the other hand it did catch my attention. That's nice how he started questioning with will you like to learn about American history.
2. To get people to ride the ferry he said that by say how the Boston harbor had a lot of history sense the days of Paul Revere and sense the Harbor had historic detail it might catch the attention of the reader to go on the Boston ferry because it goes around those historic area's. So in reality he just wanted more people to go on the ferry.
3. The author of this article used interview techniques such as where is it taking place who will most likely get in the Boston ferry (Chinese people) and etc. From are tab article lead the author used Anecdotes, Questions,he also did Description threw out his/her article.
4. I think he chose that because most people that visit a new place they have never been before will like to know the history behind it. So he/she used the Boston Harbor history that might catch Tourist attention. That's like if you are going to bye a house you will like to know is this a good neighborhood and etc.
5. The author could have put more pictures of the area or historic behind it. I think that he could have got regular people opinions of the Boston district. I think that will help out.
The approach the author use for this article is a question lead. I think this was a strong choice because it get there reader thinking before they start to read the article.
2. The authors point in this article was to show his readers that the Boston Harbor.
3.The texture is all of them it include all styles.
1.) The reader use a question lead I think is not a good way to start your lead because it make the reader think to much and sometime it make the reader bore with the question they are asking that sometime it make the reader not even finish reading your article so I think that not a good idea to start a lead with a question.
2.)The author point of the article was to tell the reader how that Harbor start and the history of the Harbor and the other point is to give information about American history.
3.)He use direct quote in the paragraph were it said "He got caught," said Steve Woods, and the other type of writing he use was Descriptive when he explain the history of the Harbor and the tea party.
4.)I think the author choice was really good because he only was talking about one specific place because if he was talking about a lot of place he will confuse his readers and that a problem.
5.)The way he could enhanced his article is by adding more picture and illustration on his article and he could put side bards giving more information about his topic and I think he should not start the lead with a question.
1. Well the author started with a question. I think it was a strong choice because questions get the reader thinking and then like that you can persuade them to keep on reading the story.
2. The author's point was to tell the readers about the Boston Harbor and how long it has been up and running. Also it told the reader about the past history of the Harbor.
3. The type of writing textures throughout the article used were direct quotes. An example is when it said: "I notice a lot less debris, certainly, along the sides at low tide," Babbitt said, motioning toward the sea wall near the General Ship dry dock in South Boston. That was an example used in the article.
4. I think it was good because he focused on only that specific subject like that the readers wouldn't be confused and understand everything said.
5. I think he could've made his article more interesting by adding pictures to get the reader's more into it. Also add a couple of sidebars with websites you can go on to learn more bout this.
I think the author of this article is using expositions. The author describes what the boat is like and explain how it is an audio tour and it lets you know how you can imagine what is happening while the tour processes. The authors point of this article was to get people informed about Boston's History and how we are keeping an visual of past events alive. The textures of writing that the author used throughout the article was expository, and Direct Quotes. The author explained what the tour was like and how the harbor was not in good condition after the event of Boston Tea Party took place. The Seaport Belle Captain Wesley Babbit had made some comments in this article about this also. He was quoted on saying
- "I notice a lot less debris, certainly, along the sides at low tide. The harbor is much cleaner now than when he started 10 years ago."
I think the author made a good choice by choosing to focus on one part of Boston's tourism parts because there are historical features along Boston Harbor. Th Boston Tea Party and the home of Bunker Hill lies there. The author could have enhanced his article by actually explaining the three important stories of Boston Harbor. I forgot them myself, he quoted someone about the Paul Revere Ride out of Lexington.
"He got caught," said Steve Woods, visiting Boston from England and taking the cruise with his wife and daughter. "I didn't know that."
I never officially knew what the story was about, maybe he could've explain what the story meant and how it originally meant and add some sidebars on it.
I think the author of this article is using expositions. The author describes what the boat is like and explain how it is an audio tour and it lets you know how you can imagine what is happening while the tour processes.
The point of this article is to let the tourism know what about the boat tour and that how they should come to the boat tour.
Throughout the article she used direct quotes. Like in one of the paragraphs she uses, "
"I notice a lot less debris, certainly, along the sides at low tide," Babbitt said, so here she's using a direct quote.
THE AUTHOR USED A QUESTIONING APPROACH BUT SHOULD HAVE USED DISCRIPTIVE.THE POINT OF THE ARTICLE IS TO SHOW THE READER ABOUT THE BOSTON TEA PARTY.THE AUTHOR USED DISCRIPTIVE AND NARRATIVE TEXTURES.I THINK SO BECAUSE IT ABOUT BOSTONS HISTORY.HE DIDNT REALLY HAVE ANY SIDEBARS OR PICTURES HE SHOULD HAVE PICTURES.
